NewTec Scientific develops devices to carry out mechanical, thermal and thermomechanical in-situ tests (FurnaSEM – MT1000).
The SEM can operate under high vacuum or low vacuum in an oxidizing or reducing atmosphere, simultaneously with the observation and analysis of the sample under the electron beam.
The nature and composition of the samples, their alloy and their high or low vacuum behaviour are often unknown and have to be investigated,

Some thermal tests under vacuum can lead to sublimations of some sample compounds depending on vacuum and temperature level with potentially chemical combinations during gas injection. This can pollute the SEM column and damage some detectors.

In order to preserve and minimize pollution of the SEM chamber, Newtec has developed an Ex-Situ enclosure allowing the visualization at 360° during a thermal or thermomechanical test.

Enceinte Ex-Situ

NewTec Scientific has developed ExoSEM to simulate the SEM chamber and to allow testing to be carried out identically to those expected.

The Ex-Situ enclosure can operate under high vacuum or low vacuum controlled in an oxidizing or reducing atmosphere.

The upper shelf ExoSEM is adaptable for specific functions: windows, feedthrough, sensors…
